
Uzungöl is one of the cities of Trabzon, Turkey and located in the Çaykara district. Uzungöl is a well known tourist resort of the eastern Black Sea region of Turkey. In the light of historical documents, Uzungöl’s former name was Saraho and the first historical records regarding this area go back to year 1586. Again according to the same records, the first permanent settlement in the region was after the 1650s.When Turkish Republic founded by Atatürk, Uzungöl was attached to the Of district of Trabzon.
